The Body Shop Shower Gel | Christmas Edition Review

Sunday 14 December 2014

These scents are literally amazing, i wish they were available all year round.
Sadly with them being festive editions i urge anyone to get online or go in store RIGHT NOW so you don't miss out on a few bottles of exceptional shower gel.

At £4.00 each they certainly won't break the bank either getting 250mls of product, bargain.

Frosted Cranberry is the first bottle i picked up with earthy berry fragrance mixed with a hint of sugared cranberries,  perfection.

Vanilla Brulee is heaven, think freshly baked cakes vanilla essence with a drizzle of hot custard.

The best should always be saved till last, Glazed Apple literally smells incredible, for every fruity scent lover you need this in your bathroom, it fills and foams up to be a juicy sour, apple dipped in glazed icing, topped with a pinch of floral blossom to finish.

They all contain extracts of scent added with honey which is not only full of sweet goodness but using along side sensitive skin like my mine you've got piece of mind that your not going to turn into a big red splodge.

Last of all as it states on the label they are unfortunately unfit for consumption! This made me laugh.

Christmas Jumper Style | BonPrix

bon prix christmas jumper
The wackiest Christmas jumpers are always the best not forgetting the cute ones too though!
Then comes the biggest challenge of all what to wear with it, what goes what doesn't?
My outfit has been styled with casual comfort in mind taking inspiration from the likes of my fave celebs.
From the flat boots, to the bobble hat that of course can cover uncooperative hair in a morning i'm loving this look.
Most importantly of all, lets not forget the festive jumper that is an essential piece for your a/w14 wardrobe this season.
It seems everyone and their dog has one this year all in the name of fashion right?

The jumper I've picked to enter the wonderful competition BonPrix are holding.
Is this inexpensive snowflake designed polar bear one which comes in different colours for just £19.99.
Paired with pieces perfect for layering in colder weather for a shopping trip maybe? This jumper certainly now looks the part.

Items listed below are a few cheaper alternatives found on the BonPrix website because we can't all afford polyvore prices you know:

Don't forget to enter the competition yourself to fancy your chances of winning a festive jumper or two!

Do you like Christmas jumpers? yayyy or nayyy?

Yankee Candle Advent Calendar | Sneak Peak Inside

Monday 1 December 2014

Making the decision on the this advent calendar was a hard thing to do but i'm so glad i did Yankee Candle is amazing.
There's two designs of this calendar which you need to get before you miss out,  you won't regret it!

Although i'm a big lover of all things christmas as well as candles the downside for me is the actual opening of the doors why isn't they're a little something about what scent is surprising you on the other side.
I'm all for a guessing game but if i want the full size version i literally have no idea what I'd be buying!

Has anyone else had this slight issue?

Sunday 16 November 2014

Christmas is something i love, once Halloween is done Christmas has officially stared.

Now growing older somewhat doesn't help with the whole 'Christmas Spirit'  but now with a whole other side of the festive season to enjoy I can get very merry responsibly of course, but for me I get to treat the people in my life to somewhat thoughtful greatly messily wrapped gifts.
Even though shopping is something I'm expertly equipped in much like yourself right? Sometimes doubt of 'will they like this' 'shall i get this' always comes to mind so a little helpful gift guide of all sorts is least i could do to help.

Top 5 Favourite Lip Products

Saturday 15 November 2014

Lipstick of all kinds just make me smile, depending on the colour though they can certainly perfect or ruin the look you aim to achieve.

Something I always try stick to is play it safe, neutral shades are most likely going to work in every situation.

With the shade perfected all that’s left is to find the faultless formula.

W7 is a matte finish rose pink lipstick which lasts, looks amazing on pale skintones all at the price of just £1.99+ makes it one for changeable lipstick wearing.

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in 205 Elusive £7.99 is a funny one the texture is so soft on the lips leaving a creamy hydrating yet matte look, this one is amazing and something I still can't get my head around but what it offers is stunning.

A pop of gloss is my handy hand bag essential this Barry M product is an affordable one which leaves you with a light wash of pink lasting up 2 hours looks fab as well applied over other products for a more intense look.

Natural Collection has to be one of the best affordable brands around at the moment.
I’ve been loving everything from the nail polishes to eyeliners as for the lips...
I love the moisturising qualities especially this one with formula that leaves an hydrating sheen, quite highly pigmented colour and wear up to 5 hours its certainly worth £1.99 of your money.
Moisture Shine Lipstick in Pink Mallow.

Like any other lip balms out there this L'oreal Caresse 005 is a more glorified luxurious lip butter from the packaging to the formula into application, these work for all occasions if your looking for a quick pop of colour after work or an instant refresh then these need to be in your collection.

Top 5 Favourite Affordable Blushes | Swatches

Sunday 26 October 2014

Blush was always the most scariest make-up product that I stayed well away from why?

Because having a face that consists of permanent blushed cheeks I totally didn't want to resemble a clown.

A few years later having grown more confident and less red in the face after mascara blush has to be my most loved product, it just frames the face giving me a lovely natural glow, livening up my complexion.

First up my most used blush has certainly been the best which is the Natural Collection in shade SweetCheeks £1.99, this powder formula can be a little bit cakey if too much is applied purely as the colour can look not so natural, however using the right amount gives a lovely autumn out in the cold finish, which lasts with the right base up to 6 hours or more.

MAC Limited Edition | Lured to Love

Having pale skin choosing the right shade of blush

can be difficult,so anything other than pink doesn't interest me. Although peach colours look great if I do say so myself this has a gorgeous mineral sheen finish which its so long lasting its insane.

Hervana Benefit Blush £23.50 was the one I’ve always wanted to try and I did just that, from it's light fresh scent to the perfectly put together shades with added shimmer it creates a canvas helping you go from day to night depending on how intense or how lightly you apply this blush it definitely is worth every penny.

Now an affordable blush has to be the Elf shimmering shade in Tickled Pink £3.95 this product is one I reach for on days I don't want a particularly made up face, a swish of this on the cheeks leaves me with a glow that's just what I look for on days off.

Last of all trying new formulas always makes me wary so obviously why not try a cream finish from Bourjois Nude Velvet 01 £7.99 this has taken me time to get used to also finding the right brush to applicate can be tricky but mixed with a stipple brush and a little patience this cream to powder finish leaves a bright pinky coral illuminated finish.

Eco Eye Tool Brush Set Review

Handy compact and essential.

Eye brushes can be the best makeup accessory you'll ever invest in, you really can not have too many.

When it comes to trying new colours or a matte shade that i'm sure will look amazing.
I always ruin it by using a brush with left over pigment and it just angers me, maybe i should clean them more often but when they don't dry in time its a pain so why not extend your collection instead.

So that's what i did...

A Large Eye brush
Angled Crease Brush
Petite Eye Shading Brush
Highlighting Brush
Smudge Brush
Travel Bag Cosmetic Case

From super soft natural fibres to bamboo handles and recycled pouch to house them in they really are such an affordable set, sizewise, they're petite enough making them perfect for travel on the go.

having washed and used them now for some time they haven't shed or even become mishaped.

They pick the product up well, helping you pack on as much or as little as you require they certainly work best at finishing the look, just blending everything together with the  Smudge Brush then using the highlighting brush just under the brow to perfect your look then you'll be ready to face the day.

5 Eco Eye Brushes in a travel pouch for £12.99
