Top 5 Favourite Affordable Blushes | Swatches

Sunday, 26 October 2014

Blush was always the most scariest make-up product that I stayed well away from why?

Because having a face that consists of permanent blushed cheeks I totally didn't want to resemble a clown.

A few years later having grown more confident and less red in the face after mascara blush has to be my most loved product, it just frames the face giving me a lovely natural glow, livening up my complexion.

First up my most used blush has certainly been the best which is the Natural Collection in shade SweetCheeks £1.99, this powder formula can be a little bit cakey if too much is applied purely as the colour can look not so natural, however using the right amount gives a lovely autumn out in the cold finish, which lasts with the right base up to 6 hours or more.

MAC Limited Edition | Lured to Love

Having pale skin choosing the right shade of blush

can be difficult,so anything other than pink doesn't interest me. Although peach colours look great if I do say so myself this has a gorgeous mineral sheen finish which its so long lasting its insane.

Hervana Benefit Blush £23.50 was the one I’ve always wanted to try and I did just that, from it's light fresh scent to the perfectly put together shades with added shimmer it creates a canvas helping you go from day to night depending on how intense or how lightly you apply this blush it definitely is worth every penny.

Now an affordable blush has to be the Elf shimmering shade in Tickled Pink £3.95 this product is one I reach for on days I don't want a particularly made up face, a swish of this on the cheeks leaves me with a glow that's just what I look for on days off.

Last of all trying new formulas always makes me wary so obviously why not try a cream finish from Bourjois Nude Velvet 01 £7.99 this has taken me time to get used to also finding the right brush to applicate can be tricky but mixed with a stipple brush and a little patience this cream to powder finish leaves a bright pinky coral illuminated finish.

Blue Liner & Bronzed Makeup Look | Eyes

Monday, 1 September 2014

Having bought recently a few new eye shadows, I thought it was time to switch up my look incorporating a few colours on trend this season.

Used:
W7 shadow stick in coffee as the base,
Vivo Unprotected Palette Shades used were wisp & forever in the crease, alongside the tear duct etc.
Vivo Teal Green Single eye-shadow used in the crease blended out to the corner & underneath the eye,
Vivo unprotected palette shade ...... used For eyeliner I used
Daniel Sandler Eyeliner in aqua blue on the lower lash line and top liner.
Maybelline Colossal Mascara in the waterproof formula on both top & bottom lashes.
To finish off, a sumdging of the shade free as eyeliner completes the look.

I had been staring at the aqua blue liner for so long not knowing how to use it, so this is the look I came up with using bronzed golden orange shades that help complement my blue eyes.

What eye liner shade have you dared to wear?

Revoloution Pink Lights Highlight Review

Monday, 9 June 2014

I really don't know how i've survived without any highlight in my life before this product.

The closest i've ever come to 'highlighting' my face has been with an old blush with way to much shimmer not a lot of colour.
So when placing an order on Makeup Revolution. I couldn't resist after never been able to get my hands on the MUA Undress one.

There's a small variety of different coloured shimmer shades online so choosing was a bit difficult, though i went with Pink Lights in the end.

' baked highlight powder product with an iridescent pink finish '

Packaging is plain simple with a black shiny bottom and clear domed lid that is embossed with gold metallic lettering which hasn't even rubber off yet BONUS!

As for the product it's super fine built up with miniscule particles with nothing to compare it to when I apply to the top of my cheekbones it works amazingly just extenuating my features giving me a gorgeous glow paired with the right shade of blush.

Just like any product you can over do it (trust me i know) even if your applicator doesn't look to have much on it try it out first I'm sure it will. A little goes along way but is build-able if you feel you need more.

Otherwise you'll resemble a disco ball...

Overall with lasting power being between 4-5 hours (even with oily skin.)
If you love all things make up it's a must to have in your collection this summer to help finish your look off making you perfected for the day ahead.
