Lipstick of all kinds just make me smile, depending on the colour though they can certainly perfect or ruin the look you aim to achieve.

Something I always try stick to is play it safe, neutral shades are most likely going to work in every situation.

With the shade perfected all that’s left is to find the faultless formula.

W7 is a matte finish rose pink lipstick which lasts, looks amazing on pale skintones all at the price of just £1.99+ makes it one for changeable lipstick wearing.

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in 205 Elusive £7.99 is a funny one the texture is so soft on the lips leaving a creamy hydrating yet matte look, this one is amazing and something I still can't get my head around but what it offers is stunning.

A pop of gloss is my handy hand bag essential this Barry M product is an affordable one which leaves you with a light wash of pink lasting up 2 hours looks fab as well applied over other products for a more intense look.

Natural Collection has to be one of the best affordable brands around at the moment.

I’ve been loving everything from the nail polishes to eyeliners as for the lips...

I love the moisturising qualities especially this one with formula that leaves an hydrating sheen, quite highly pigmented colour and wear up to 5 hours its certainly worth £1.99 of your money.

Moisture Shine Lipstick in Pink Mallow.

Like any other lip balms out there this L'oreal Caresse 005 is a more glorified luxurious lip butter from the packaging to the formula into application, these work for all occasions if your looking for a quick pop of colour after work or an instant refresh then these need to be in your collection.

 

Barry M Gelly Nail Paints | Gelly Collection

I confess... I love Barry M Nail Paints,

After buying my first ever shade in bright purple a few years ago now, i've not look back since.

Dabbling in other brands and formulations although they do fulfill my nail painting needs some just don't last or  they peel, chip, even make my nails weak.

So with Barry M being some of the best i've used these are from the newish Gelly collection.

The gorgeous shades above are the ones I gravitated towards when purchasing so we have from left to right:

Grapefruit is a shade made for toes. With a tan or without your little tootsies will look amazing in this red colour with pink undertones. BONUS it looks opaque in one coat. 

Rose Hip looking at the bottle makes me smile, a strawberry milkshake pink to glorify my nails, oh yes please! Although this looks the part it takes time as well as effort to stop it from looking like a streaky gloopy mess as the shade is so pale every imperfection will be on show.

  Sugar Apple a lovely light bluey pale green shade accompanied by a sweet name.

  Greenberry everyone surely has to own some variety of a mint green in their collection, this is my mine appropriately name.

Guava this was actually a birthday gift from my mum which I love! It's quite a unique green turquoise shade also applies perfectly in one coat too.

 Blue Grape my all time favourite with a cobalt blue colouring, better yet one coat does the trick then your good to go. 

These are the best of the bunch if your looking for an extra high shine glossy finish.

They wear well up to 7 days depending your desired top coat, not forgetting the base coat too always helps.

I've found this formula less prone to peeling as one-two applications is all that's really necessary as for drying wise just like any other brands out there it usually takes between 7-20mins to be completely dry (if not thickly applied.)

Last of all keep in mind that when it comes to paler shades of any kind build up thin layers slowly to avoid a big mess not recommended to use if your in a rush!

how to get perfect nails for summer

Having brittle nails that just never grow gets you down so it was about time to change my nail biting habit and make sure they're in pristine condition especially for summer.

Freshly painted nails just make me feel me, i just can't get enough of amazing colours to make an outfit more put together just giving it that extra pop.

Starting out with natural nails removing every single trace of old polish

(don't pick & pike at them)

file, buff plus cut down and shape those pinky's,

 

*optional something I tend to always do before applying colour is moisturise i use the hand salve by Burt's Bees along with the dedicated lemony fresh cuticle butter which smells amazing.

After all the basic tweaking then comes the nail bed preparation,

*optional push down cuticles with pusher 

then get out your best nail strengthening weaponry because yooooo gon' need it.

I use Avon's nail liquid its something i bought due to the offer it was on whether it works or not i'll let you know about that after a few more goes.

 

Alongside that apply a bascoat of your choice i chose the Barry M infamous 3 in 1 basecoat topcoat and nail hardener.

  Only using two coats of this on the base never the top it takes to long to dry.

Once everything's dry its all systems go with choosing the right nail polish for the night

not forgetting your fave shiny or matte topcoat.

Top 4 Summer Brights Polishes

Nails for me certainly pull an outfit together and add that much needed finishing touch so if my nails aren't painted i just don't feel completely done (i know I'm strange but that's just me for ya.)

So with that in mind I'd thought I'd share with you some of the more brighter colours I've been gravitating towards these summer months to prettify my nails and toes.

So there you have it these are a few of my summer bright polishes that i will probably continue to wear thoughout the Autumn/Winter months because if your anything like me i defiantly find it hard to stick to nail polish trends purely because i have so many nail paints to use up but also once a colour catches my eye i will wear it regardless of the in trends/weather.

I hope I'm not the only one to do this!

NOTD #2

 Just simple NOTD featuring a beautiful pastel coloured polish that I picked up for a pound in the poundshop! (Oh really becca I would have never guessed..)

I knew I just had to get it.

 It's in the colour blue lagoon and as it is my first Revlon polish (I'm a Barry M kinda girl), I was quite surprised by the constancy not being to watery plus the brush was the perfect size to apply the polish somewhat 'neatly' also it dried rather quick. So there's not much to complain about for pound but of course me being me I always find something.

In the bottle the colour has this gorgeous pale blue shimmeryness to it but on the nails NOTHING :(. 

So although that was a little disappointing its nothing a small particle glitter polish can't sort out. 

 

 

I always use the top coat from No7 and the Barry M all in one, such amazing necessities and their not super expensive either!

 

So there you have it another nail of day complete with a furry background thanks to my lovely dog!

Recently all i want to do is spend spend spend but its a good job I'm already poor and haven't been paid again yet because I certainly wouldn't be responsible for what would happen.
