Christmas Beauty Gift Guide | Top Picks For Her

Sunday, 16 November 2014

Christmas is something i love, once Halloween is done Christmas has officially stared.

Now growing older somewhat doesn't help with the whole 'Christmas Spirit'  but now with a whole other side of the festive season to enjoy I can get very merry responsibly of course, but for me I get to treat the people in my life to somewhat thoughtful greatly messily wrapped gifts.
Even though shopping is something I'm expertly equipped in much like yourself right? Sometimes doubt of 'will they like this' 'shall i get this' always comes to mind so a little helpful gift guide of all sorts is least i could do to help.

Not only are these items desirable as gifts they're reasonably priced for most budgets as well as making the beauty junkie lover in your life smile on Christmas morning.

Philosophy Beauty Bauble | £10
Yankee Candle Xmas Edition Sugared Apple | £15

Summer Seperates | Co-Ord Fashion Edit

Sunday, 29 June 2014

co-ords Having been enjoying the 90's style fashions on offer this summer a trend that i've been loving has to be separates of all kinds. They honestly make finding an outfit for any occasion so much easier.
Some patterns are super crazy others quite muted so all are well suited to everyone's taste whatever that maybe.
Dressing down couldn't get any more effortless with just the top or bottoms for an even more casual ensemble so these are a few top picks that you'll need to co-ordinate in your wardrobe this summer.
Tropical New Look Top & Scuba Shorts | £12.99 & £14.99
New Look Floral Co-Ord | £9.99 & £14.99

What season trend are you loving this summer?

House of Fraser Fashion Getaways Competition

Sunday, 1 September 2013

After Receiving an email with info on this amazing competition i just knew i had to enter.
House of Fraser are running a new competition for bloggers to take part in for a chance to win £200 of vouchers to spend at the luxurious store itself! Click here for more Details....

Now onto my outfit i certainly found it so hard to pick just one getaway destination and although there is only one in mind well sort of, i think it could be slightly versatile and stretch to two of the amazing cities.

I would certainly wear this outfit (that's if i could afford it, sadly i can't ) it'd be perfect what with the Autumn/Winter seasons upon us, i think layering with the cardigan would add extra warmth, also if you couldn't already tell i love to clash different prints/colours definitely my cup of tea. I tried as well incorporate a key colour from the ox blood red jeans which i believe is making its come back through the trends of this current season.

Last but not least the accessories i chose make the outfit look a lot more sophisticated bringing it all together, I'm defiantly a big fan of the bag and the shoes.

I think the makeup would look great with slightly tinted dark purple coloured lips with teal green nails whilst the rest of the face such as the eyes would all be kept neutral with just a tiny amount of blush on the cheeks.

So there you have it my City Styled Fashion competition entry if your a big fan of the Devil wears Prada or love riding in yellow taxis and sitting on the famous steps to eat yoghurt with your besties, enjoy because you live in an amazing place! Also there's bonus points up for grabs if you can guess the other city this outfit would be worthy of wearing too!

Where's the furthest you've been in the world?

ASOS Primark Picks

Wednesday, 12 June 2013

asos primark picks

Upon hearing the news last week I didn't actually believe Primark would EVER end up online but I guess I was very wrong as ASOS have started to stock multiple Primark items!
Some may say it's kinda ridiculous giving the quality of clothing varies with every item and I have to agree but for all those international fashionistas looking for a bargain without having to fork out £100's for plane tickets. Well I suppose something good can come out of it, and for the likes of me and you least we can have a noisy at what's new before heading to the shops but I don't think I'm ready to give up my monthly Primark shops just for the comfort of my own couch just yet.

How About You?

1. Primark Lace Insert Denim Shirt Dress - £16.00 (love love love would be great for BBQ' or summer parties)

2. Primark Stripe Dungaree - £14.00

3. Primark Star Print Skinny Joggers - £9.00 (great for travelling)

What are your Top Primark picks?

Duo Boots Competition

Duo Boots Competition

Duo Boots Competition by wonderrcolourbehind

It's the last day of a generous competition DuoBoots are holding to win a pair of shoes of  your choice amazing! Details here!
Before this competition i'd never heard of the brand duo boots but my oh my they sell some lovely quality shoes slightly out of my price range but a girl can dream right? ha.

They were four particular pairs that took my fancy, (Woodbury, Gable, Dubois the ones i choose! and Avron), so i found it rather difficult to choose just ONE pair to make an outfit with but i succeeded as you can see from my entry above.

I didn't have a certain theme in mind so i made an outfit for an everyday casual, comfy, relaxing look which i think complements the boots pretty well especially with the autumn'y colours, the accents of studs and a military style coat. Overall i have to say i'm in love with this outfit but sadly my bank account doesn't agree. :(

P.s. I couldn't decide between leggings or skinny jeans so went with both!

Hope you like my entry !

What's your favourite style of footwear for autumn/winter?

Passion For Fashion Competition

Wednesday, 29 August 2012

So there's an amazingly generous competition being held by moneysupermarket called Passion For Fashion in which you have to create 5 outfits fitted to different themes (casual, work, party, outdoor and office wear) all for £200 or under it may sound easy but be sure to check the link for the rules and the additional info!
Onto my Entry.....
Casual
Outfit #2 Casual
Casual for me is a simple pair of jeans slightly dressed but has to be totally comfortable, comfort it always on top of my list and with this outfit i feel i have created this. With the Aztec jumper it adds a little bit of something something to an otherwise bland look, the collar also gives it some edge along with the stacked bracelets and the ankle boots too. Last of all the bag would be practical for everyday use as well as looking girly and cute.

Collar -Topshop- £15.00

 Boots -NewLook- £27.99
Jeans -Topshop- £38.00
Bag -RiverIsland- £35.00
Bracelet -Topshop- £20.00
Braclet -Topshop- £14.00
Jumper -NewLook- £37.99
Total: £187.98

Party
PassionForFashion Party Outfit #1
Again i like simple so it's not over the top or too dressy just enough for a classy party.
A favourite of mine is the blue dress as i feel blue compliments fair skin like my own, what's even better is it has a dipped hem but not only that (it has chiffion'y sides which would help to disguise wide hips bouns!) Moving on from the dress the accessories are kept to a minimum because i'm just not an over user of them but the shoes have studding detail on which tie in well together with the orange and gold accents making it an easy to outfit to wear.

Dress -RiverIsland£30.00
Shoe -Newlook£29.99
Watch -ASOS/RiverIsland£20.00
Clutch -Newlook£9.99
Earrings -ASOS£15.00
Total:  £104.98

Outdoor
Outfit #3
I'm not much of an outdoors'y kinda person (although i go outside everyday ha) but with nature, not such much so taking 'outdoor' i made it into an outfit i think relates sightly with the earthy tones, layering and warmth. Overall i love this outfit, with the all-in-one (probably not ideal in an emergency!) to the jumper which i would wear oversized, to the union jack wellies to the amazing faux leather sleeve jacket! Also i had to add the river island bag as i'm a fan of that style of bag and the fact i had no 'budget left' for a backpack ha.

All in One -Topshop£25.00
Jumper -NewLook£12.99
Dem Hem Top -RiverIsland£25.00
Sleeve Jacket -NewLook£44.99
Bobble Hat -Topshop£14.00
Wellies -Republic£25.00
Knee Socks -Topshop£6.00
Bag -RiverIsland£35.00
Ring Trio -Topshop£10.00
Total: £197.98

OFFICE

Work Outfit #4
So i found this look the most challangeing as i have no idea what would be appropriate in an office/smart job. So staying away from the white blouse black pant combo i decided to go with black and black ha. Leggings to me are for more casual/comfy attire but saying that these are slightly more smart like with wet look side panels and paired with right things they look fit for purpose. Onto the top it's simple but works (after putting this look together i now realise it's quite sheer so i'd defiantly wear something under it). With this look the blazer gives it the oomph it needs, a bright in your face colour which ties in well with the shoes, earrings, rings and that expensive looking bag. Oh the nails give it that extra bit of colour too!

Leggings -Topshop£20.00
Blazer -H&M£29.99
Shoes -Newlook£15.99
Models Own -ASOS£5.00
Earrings -Topshop£6.50
Bag -H&M£29.99
Blouse -Republic£25.00
Total: £132.47

First Date
Outfit #5

The last look, one of my favourite's especially for a first date i think this outfit is acceptable not to much but it shows you've made effort (always a good thing i guess ha). I love love love this cardigan it's great for the autumn and even winter months if you layer quite a lot, but i think it makes this outfit more relaxed rather than having a fitted jacket. The dress again is blue, a colour i like for my skin tone i accessorized it with a contrasting belt which breaks it up from the neutral side of colours from the cardigan and those shoes. I was in two minds wheather to choose flats or wedges but as long as you keep your balance you shouldn't fall over and make a fool of yourself (finger crossed ha!) Onto the most expensive item in this outfit the bag expensive but so worth it as i feel it just brings everything together.

Bag -Debenhams£65.00
Belt -Topshop£12.00
Necklace -ASOS£12.00
Wedges -Boohoo.com£35.00
Cardigan -NewLook£19.99
Bird Dress -NewLook£14.99
Total: £158.98

Hope you like my oufits!

What do you prefer comfy/causal or dressy/smart?

Bank Holiday Wishlist #1

So just like everyone else i'm a big dreamer and well i like nice things but nice things don't get along well with my bank balance. So i decided to make my first ever wishlist and share with you what i really really want this is a reduced version of a very long list enjoy!

1. D&G High Contact Watch - Although they have been around for a year or so it's something i long for because i prefer digital watches to analogue ones so it's perfect, but i would prefer one in either black or orange.

2. Real Techniques Stippling Brush - The oh so famous brush brand at the moment, i desperately  want one of these brushes and have come within touching distant many times (too many times)
but i'm holding off as i would like to try the ELF Brush first at a slightly cheaper price.
Have you used the ELF Stipple Brush? Is it any good?

3. Braun Wet and Dry Epilator - i wasn't sure whether to include this, but it's a wishlist after all and stupidly i wish i had an epilator! But for the top of the range one i want spending that kind of money is just never going to happen so a cheaper option needs to be found.

4. Clinique Superbalanced Foundation - Another thing i long for but again the price! I'm just not willing to spend that kind of money on something that may not work.

5. Purple Oxford Converse - To be totally honest i don't even know why i want these but i do and i'm always on the look out to get some in my local TK Maxx for a little cheaper but with my bad luck nothing :( i'm still holding out though because you never know.

6. Origins Super Spot Remover - So tempting again like the foundation but i don't want to spend my money on something that may not work because i waste so much on crap (are you the same)?

7. Clinique 3 Step System - Right now i am having such a love HATE relationship with my skin it just makes me want to screammmmmm with all the oiliness, dryness and SPOTS it's just something that  puts me in a bad mood and makes me want to hide in bed all day so i defiantly think its time to invest in some skin loving products!

Have you tried Clinique's 3 Step System for oily skin? It is any good?

What are your longed for wish list items?

  (: x

House Of Fraser Style Challenge

House Of Fraser Style Challenge

This is my competition entry House of Fraser Blog are holding for an amazingly generous prize, details here!

So onto the outfit there were too many things i wanted to combine together which resulted in a 'miss match not to be seen in' kind of  look, but i got through that (i hope!) and above is my finished result.

What is this outfit for?... i think it would be perfect for a weekend away!
One of my favourite pieces has got to be the peplum jumper because it disguises lumps, bumps and  those wide hips , also it's so versatile making it easy to wear with so many things for casual or a more dressed up look like i've created above. Another favourite is the studded shoes as i feel they give it some sort of edge which i like alot. Last but not least the printed trousers are amazing you can never go wrong with printed clothing items and to me they just look autumn'y. My outfit's colourful and a definite head turner but what do you think?

 Hope you like!
